Tuesdays, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Wednesdays, 9:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. to Noon
Saturdays, Noon until 3:30 p.m.
St. Mary is open for private and silent adoration:
Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., when the Divine Mercy Chaplet is prayed.
How are we doing???
¨ The livestream of the 8:00 a.m. Mass at St. Theresa on Sunday, January 17 posted to YouTube had
26 viewers and 36 playbacks.
¨ Attendance was up this past week-end:
4:00 p.m. Mass 101
8:00 a.m. Mass 78
9:30 a.m. Mass 46 at St. Mary
11:00 a.m. Mass 73
We are at 20 to 25% capacity at St. Theresa. There is lots of room for more people to gather safely.
We are at 46% capacity at St Mary. We continue to encourage those who can to attend Mass at St. Theresa.
If there were to be more than 50 people attending the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Mass in Hillsborough, a live feed to
a large TV monitor in the Church Hall downstairs can be used.
Attendance at week-day Mass is around 20 people. Plenty of room for social distancing...please join us!
¨ Videos posted on Parish Facebook Page
The hiking video posted on January 16th had received 114 views as of January 18.
The short skiing video of December 19th has received 280 views to date.
The pre-Christmas video of December 7th received 328 views.
¨ Phone calls were made by 20 parish volunteers in late November and early December to parishioners
at both parishes. About 15% answered the phone. Voicemails were left with many others. Some
parishioners do not have a voicemail option. A number of phones are disconnected, which likely means
people have changed their number or are seasonal parishioners with their local phones temporarily
disconnected.

¨ By all indications, our two parishes have so far managed to avoid any transmission of he coronavirus.
We continue to beg all parishioners, especially those using the balcony at St. Theresa, to please keep
your masks on during Mass. St. Theresa has rarely had more than 150 people at a weekend Mass for
a Church that can hold 450 people. We are currently averaging about 70 to 80 people. St. Mary had
averaged 65 people this time of year, but currently has about 45 people on average for a Church that
can hold 100.
¨ Live streaming is being (almost) professionally done. Parishioner, Tim Payson, has installed a
state-of-the-art audio-visual system that we are transmitting via a parish YouTube channel. He is
taking turns with Dave Getzin and Tim Blagden who can all control the camera remotely from their
home computers. We could use another couple of helpers. If you are interested in helping, please
call the parish office at 428-3325.
¨ Short uplifting videos by Father Marcel, currently from the ski slopes, on the parish Facebook page
keep encouraging everyone to get outdoors to build our immune systems, work up an appetite, and
enjoy moving in any way we can in the world around us.
¨ Bridget Tierney continues to make phone calls, send emails, and use the Family Formation Facebook
page to stay in touch with families involved with Family Formation.
¨ Coming February 17th..... Ash Wednesday and the start of the forty days of Lent.

PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE
The KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS annual Coat For Kids Drive.
What is Coats for Kids? The Knights believe that no child in North America should go without a coat in winter, and we are committed to that goal. Through the dedication of councils across the US and Canada, hundreds of thousands of new winter coats have been distributed to children since the program began in 2009. $3,729.00 was collected this year from St. Theresa and St. Mary.

Norman Trottier, a lifelong member of St. Mary Parish, left $85,000 of
his estate to St. Mary Parish when he passed away two years ago. With those funds, we have honored his legacy with upgrades and repairs to
St. Mary church.
Bell Tower work, recently completed. Work was also done, while we had
the means to do so, on windows in both the front and back of the church.

I invite the whole parish to join our young families as "A Family of Faith" by praying
throughout the day. Some suggestions include:
Morning Prayer: Most high, all powerful, good Lord, Yours are the praises,
the glory, the honor, and all blessing.
Midday Prayer: Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among
women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. AMEN.
Prayer before Evening Meal: Bless us, O Lord, and these thy gifts which
we are about to receive from thy bounty through, Christ, our Lord. Amen
Night prayer: Act of Contrition
My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my heart. In choosing to do wrong
and failing to do good, I have sinned against you whom I should love
above all things. I firmly intend, with your help, to do penance, to sin no more,
and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered
and died for us. In his name, My God, have mercy. Amen

I am truly grateful for the positive response to date to our parish efforts to engage our members
into becoming contributing members to the parish. Through a written monthly household budget,
I continue to determine what I can spend, how much I can save, what I can invest for my future
retirement, and how much of my income I will give away.
Family Formation Kick-Off
¨ We need to hear from families planning to join us for an outdoor cook-out this coming Saturday at 5:00 p.m., following the 4:00 p.m.
Vigil Mass. Please let Linda, our administrative assistant, know how many will be coming, no later than noon on Thursday at
parish.office@tds.net. Please bring your own picnic blanket or lawn chairs. ¨ There are many COVID-19 protocols we are required to follow. We are all getting used to the wearing of masks and staying at least six
feet apart from non-family members. Hand sanitizer is readily available, and surfaces are disinfected on a frequent basis. Everyone
attending the gathering will have their temperatures checked by a parent-volunteer.
¨ Every family will be given two books to use throughout the year with their children from toddlers thru grade 8.
¨ We are exploring having a Moms' overnight retreat, a Dads' overnight retreat, and this winter, a high school youth weekend retreat at
St. Methodius Retreat Center in Contoocook. We will be talking it up to determine interest.
Consider making a stop and offering a prayer at the Marian shrine in the
back lot of St Theresa, and also at the St. Francis Garden, which has a new
trestle at its entrance, in the front area of the parish property.
